Identity theft is a growing threat to the security of personal, business and patient data. This program is to provide specific steps you can take to protect it. It will cover how identity theft occurs, who the likely victims are, and things you can put in place to avoid it. Further, the program will provide ideas on what you can do if your identity is stolen. Online Reputation Management: Online Reputation Management will show the growing importance of managing your online presence. Whether it is a company or an individual, a plan is essential. This program will cover setting up a system that works every day and is able to deal with negative chatter. These tips will help you build and maintain a positive online presence. About our Speakers
Stormy Knight
Is an entrepreneur who started an internet training company Net101.com in 1995. She continues to consult with businesses large and small to maximize the marketing potential of the internet while avoiding the pitfalls. The ever more sophisticated phishing, scams, viruses, worms, and hackers make the internet a potentially hazardous place for those who are unprepared. Yet the internet cannot be ignored as it continues to boom being almost omnipresent on our computers, tablets and phones. Kerry Rego Is a social media and technology consultant. She has spoken widely to businesses, government agencies and non-profit organizations. She is an instructor for California Community College’s Interactive Internet Mobile Applications for Business program. Her articles can be found in the North Bay Business Journal. |
